Calvin Wong

Calvin was born and raised in Toronto. He received his BA in psychology and BScH in life sciences from Queen’s University. For his doctoral studies, Calvin moved to Montreal where he worked in the lab of Dr. Arkady Khoutorsky at McGill University studying the plasticity of nociceptive circuits and mRNA translation in pain. In Dr. Chiu’s lab, Calvin is investigating peripheral nervous system regulation of neuro-immune interactions in the gut. Outside of the lab, Calvin enjoys practicing various martial arts, running, watching kdramas and anime, and exploring new restaurants and cuisines.
