Xiaowen grew up in Jingzhou city, Hubei province in China. She then finished her BSc in cell and molecular biology at Chinese university of Hong Kong. She became interested in neuroinflammation during her undergraduate study, and become determined to stay in academia in the future. Xiaowen feel excited to learn from the talented individuals here in the Chiu lab everyday. Outside of the lab, she enjoying jogging and reading very much.
