Eunice grew up in Melbourne, Australia. She completed her undergraduate studies and PhD program specialising in pharmacology at Monash University. During this training period,

her research focused on understanding the molecular and biochemical processes that contribute to viral pathogenesis. In her postdoctoral studies, she continued in this research field to develop innovative strategies for the treatment of respiratory infections. As a Fulbright Scholar, she investigated how skin inflammation predisposes to intestinal diseases at Boston Children’s Hospital. In Dr. Chiu’s lab, she will be continuing this research on understanding the mechanisms that underpin the skin-gut signalling axis in barrier tissue immunity. In her spare time, she enjoys the gym, puzzles and traveling.
