Antonia Wallrapp was born and grew up in Germany, where she studied Molecular Medicine at the Friedrich-Alexander University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. Antonia performed her PhD work in the laboratory of Dr. Vijay Kuchroo at Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women’s Hospital on the cross-talk between type 2 innate lymphoid cells and neurons in airway inflammation and received her PhD degree from the Friedrich-Alexander University of Erlangen-Nuremberg in Germany. In Dr. Chiu’s lab, Antonia is studying the role of neuro-immune interactions in the intestine. Outside of the lab, she likes to go hiking and playing tennis.
